REGISTERED NURSE
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and minimum of two years of general nursing experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. State nursing license and CPR certification required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing demands.
Coordinates with health care providers and residential managers to ensure quality and comprehensive medical care for clients with developmental disabilities. Trains staff in medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and client specific health needs. Delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed staff. Reviews medical documentation and tracking records. Prepares written reports. Writes client specific protocols and prepares physician order sheets. Orders medications and supplies for clients as needed. Ensures compliance of employee TB testing with state requirements. Provides health care advice within scope of practice.
